Admiral's Pointe Celebrates Halloween
November 9, 2022
Being a skilled nursing facility doesn't just mean we provide quality care to our residents; we also have a duty to serve our community on a deeper level. Any chance we get to bring our friends and families of Huron, Ohio, together is making a difference and building the sense of community we strive to live in. Admiral's Pointe recently had the pleasure of bringing back our famous haunted house and hosted our very first Trunk-or-Treat this year.
This event started small but has grown over the years. In the past, we have done a cake walk, but this was our first Trunk-or-Treat. Our facility is known in the community to host events like this, especially our haunted house, which is an annual event. We usually begin to get phone calls in August and September to hear if we're still doing our haunted house. Every year, our theme is different. This year was Welcome to Camp Crystal Lake. The past themes have been Dracula's Castle, Frankensteins Lab, Haunted Swamp, Haunted Zoo, Fractured Fairy tales, Haunted woods, Black Widow's Den, Monster's Den, Haunted Jail, Haunted Hospital, Haunted Circus and Haunted Cornfield. We have even heard on many occasions that we are better than Cedar Pointe!

We started this year's event by getting a tent and transforming it into our one-of-a-kind haunted house. There were also games with prizes, refreshments and food there. We were thrilled to welcome over 800 people to the event! Young and old alike had a great time dressing up and getting spooky.
"I do this because of the fun for everyone but most of all to set us apart from other facilities. My goal, mission and passion is for Admiral's Pointe and to be the best around. Our residents deserve this and more. I continue to look for ways to make Admiral's Pointe the place to be for your golden years," shared our Activity Director, Lisa Hudson.
This event wouldn't have been possible without the help of Lisa and our Administrator, Amy Donaldson. A special thank you goes to Amy for supporting the Activities Department and being a part of every event while helping with community events like delivering meals, church events, etc.

Every year has been such a blast, and we always look forward to spending this time with our residents, friends, family and community. We hope we can bring the same spooky energy next year!
