This Valentine’s season, we’re shining a spotlight on these incredible love stories—stories of first glances that led to forever, of partnerships built on trust, and of the simple yet powerful moments that have stood the test of time. Their wisdom, humor, and unwavering commitment inspire us all, reminding us that true love only grows stronger with time.
Some love stories are written in the stars, and for Jack and Sue Lange, fate brought them together on a blind date that would change their lives forever. From that very first meeting, their connection was undeniable, and it wasn’t long before Sue was the first to say those three little words: "I love you."
On August 19, 2000, they vowed to spend forever together, and for the past 24 years, they have built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments. Their family has grown to include four children and ten grandchildren, each a testament to the beautiful life they’ve created.
When asked the secret to their happy marriage, they both agree:
"Each give 110%." Through every challenge and every joy, their love has remained strong because they always put each other first.
Now, as they continue their journey together at Admiral’s Pointe, their love story is still being written. With a tear in her eye, Sue shared why they chose to stay here:

Some love stories are written in fairy tales, but August and Beverly Hohman’s love story was built on hard work, laughter, and a lifetime of devotion. They first locked eyes in a bar all those years ago, never knowing that moment would lead to a beautiful journey together.
Married on December 27, 1952, August and Beverly have shared 72 incredible years, raising three children and watching their family grow with six wonderful grandchildren. August dedicated his life to working on the farm and as a mechanic, while Beverly nourished others as a food administrator. Through all of life’s ups and downs, they held strong to one simple secret for a long, happy marriage: Instead of fighting, walk away.
Today, their love continues to inspire us all at Admiral's Pointe. Seeing them together is a reminder that true love isn’t just about the big moments—it’s about the everyday kindness, patience, and understanding that turns years into a lifetime.
