Admiral's Pointe Hosts a Spook-tacular Trick-or-Treat and Haunted House
November 1, 2024
This spooky season, Admiral's Pointe hosted its highly anticipated Annual Community Trick-or-Treat and Haunted House, bringing together residents, staff, families, and over 300 local community members. Organized by our Activity Director, Lisa Hudson, this cherished tradition has been a staple for over 23 years. Originally held outdoors, it has evolved into an expansive indoor event, uniting the Huron community, residents, and staff in a festive celebration.
The event featured a thrilling haunted house, candy-filled trick-or-treating stations with over 70 participating residents, games with prizes, a cakewalk, and delicious donuts and cider. With help from our partners at SoutherCare Hospice, the event was a resounding success.
Our residents were all smiles as they interacted with children dressed in creative costumes, handing out candy (and sneaking some for themselves!). “Seeing the kids in their costumes makes us feel part of the fun,” one resident shared. The joy, laughter, and sense of community were felt by all, making it a memorable day.
Events like this are essential for fostering a culture of care, bridging generations, and creating a sense of togetherness. A big thank you to our incredible Activity Department for making this magical day possible! We’re already planning for next year!
