Celebrating Our Activity Team

February 7, 2023
In honor of National Activities Professional Week, we wanted to highlight our awesome Activities Department at Admiral's Pointe! It's so important to us, especially being a long-term care facility, to organize fun activities and outings for our residents to enhance their quality of life, get them out of their rooms for some adventure, and provide them with something that brings them joy. We couldn't do this without the help of our outstanding Activities Department.

Meet our Activity Team, who makes all the difference!

Lisa Hudson - Activity Director

Lisa has been at Admiral's Pointe for 22 years and has significantly impacted everyone at the facility. Her background in healthcare started when she began caring for the elderly at just 12 years old, helping with home care before and after school and on weekends. When she was 16, Lisa got her first job in a nursing home and continued working as an STNA. She is committed to our premier nursing home, and we wouldn't be where we are today without her.

"I do this because of the fun for everyone, but most of all, to stand us apart from other facilities. My goal, mission and passion are for Admiral's Pointe to be the best. Our residents deserve this and more. I continue to look for ways to make our premier facility the place to be for your golden years."

-Lisa

Pam Tetzloff - Activity Assistant

Pam has been such an asset to the facility. She's been here for about 23 years and is the type of person one can only dream they have on their team. She is caring, dedicated, flexible, loving, compassionate and creative and excels beyond belief at customer service.

Heather Young - Activity Assistant, STNA

Heather has been with us for about six years. She is also an STNA who helps everyone around the building. She is loving, caring, a workhorse, creative, and goes above and beyond every day. Her heart is and always will be for the residents. She has a heart of absolute gold and goes out of her way to make their lives awesome.

George Kyer - Activity Assistant

Geroge is the newest member of the Activities Department, starting a little over a year ago. He has a heart for learning, helping, and loves the residents. He goes out of his way to help in all the departments and takes care of all the little things.

Jessica Clevenger - Transportation Aide, STNA, Activity Assistant

Jessica is amazing at what she does and makes sure our residents and their families are made to feel comfortable and safe during trips to appointments. She is caring, kind, considerate, flexible, compassionate, and loving.

Lisa, Pam, Heather, George and Jessica each play a crucial role in our residents' quality of life. They love our residents and do everything they can so our residents are always having a good time. Admiral's Pointe truly has a remarkable and loving team! Happy Activities Professional's Week!

Our Activity Department is always coming up with fun and creative ways to engage our residents. Be sure to like us on Facebook to see more of our daily activities and be the first to know about upcoming events.
