John W. Makes a Wish

Admiral's Pointe is pleased to continue another successful memory for one of our residents through our make a wish program!

John W. is definitely a jokester and a very vibrant individual, he and his wife have been married for 49 years. They had a Catholic church wedding on Valentine's Day 1973 and were married in Sandusky, OH. John worked in Tire Sales and Service for 41 years before taking a job as a driver for the Sandusky Register. He belonged to the Mason's for 50 years and is a proud veteran of the Army National Guard where he served for our country. His pastime interests include tinkering around the house, yard work, & car shows.

John and his wife, Jerri, met in a Bowling Alley and they dated for about 5 years before he proposed. He has always been the jokester in their relationship, when he proposed he gave her a box with a dime and a clip and told her he was giving her a diamond clip!! The rest is history and fast forward 49 years later and a beautiful life well lived!

While talking about his life and meeting his wife, John reminisced with our activity department about their favorite date spot, Red Lobster! This week John and Jerri spent a romantic date together and we are truly humbled to have taken part!
